Welcome to the Spring semester of Digital Photography. We are off to a little bit of a slow start here but we will be up and shooting in no time.
There have been a few emails about the book. There are 2 options both are essentially the same book the essential way is a little lighter, or rather has a few less chapters in it, but both cover what we will need for the class. The text book is primarily used as reference, if you have another photography text book, bring it in. It may be able to be used as a substitute.

The second option... 'Photography', is a more comprehensive book. I suggest the 9th or 10 edition of Photography. Earlier versions back to the 6th are suitable for the class but will not have or will have out of date material concerning digital cameras.
Purchasing these books: I suggest taking some time searching the web and buying online. I would supply links but the prices vary substantially. You will be better off spending 15 or 20 min searching for your self. NOTE: DON'T FORGET TO LOOK AT THE SHIPPING COST... things to good to be true usually are.
Just a reminder... Don't forget your memory cards for Tuesdays class. You will also want to get a small pocket sized notebook as soon as you can.
